# Fishing boat storage

Most fishing boats live on their trailers and move between lakes all summer. In winter the questions are simple: a safe lot or a building near home, and an outboard and kicker winterized before the frost.

## Fishing boat questions

**Can I keep the boat in my driveway?**

**Do I need to drain livewells?**

Yes, and run the pumps dry. Water left in lines and pumps freezes and cracks them.
